Poker Is Me?

Is it actually feasible to consider playing poker as a job? Up til a few days ago i didn't really think so.. Now though? I dunno. I know i am above average as a poker player, i just don't have delusions that my skills are that awesome. I've stopped taking as many bad beats, folding where once i would call or hell even raise. I've stopped going on tilt, and ive stopped losing. Don't get me wrong, i still leave some poker rooms with less cash than i started with, but over the past couple days i've averaged over 15 bucks a day playing at the .10/.25 tables. But am i really that good?

I think my greatest breakthrough in poker was when a man told me "Let's Gamble." When he pushed all in with a crappy hand. My reply was almost by reflex, "I don't like to gamble my money." To ya'll this may not seem like much... But when i said it i had to smile. Poker has become less of a luck based game for me, and more about skills. I don't play many coin flip hands anymore, i don't make stupid mistakes that i use to...

Don't get me wrong, i haven't perfected my technique. I still need to learn some of the intricacies, like how to maximize winnings while covering any possible losses. Need to learn a thousand little things that will eventually turn me into a poker god. hehe, i kid.. Demi-god at best.. MWUHAHAHAA!!
